Boundary Rules and Exceptions
If a HOME address falls in the boundary area of two high schools (Example: Grant and Jefferson), this means that families have the choice of two institutions to send their players to for high school.
Not all of the PIL youth sports have a dual-boundary rule implemented at the district level. Due to participation numbers, the PIL requires enforcement of this rule from all PIL youth coordinators in the clusters where this occurs. However. there will be some exceptions for Grant youth basketball beginning the 2023-24 season. These exceptions include only the following circumstances:

- Physicals are valid for a maximum of 2 years, but must be uploaded every year for each individual sports' registration profile
- Other PIL sports do not "communicate" with one another. (Example: if an athlete played a Fall sport, such as football, boys basketball cannot see football registration profiles.)
- Families are still required to submit an entirely new tryout registration for basketball during the Winter season.
- Families are also required to upload all applicable eligibility documents again, including physicals, to be cleared before basketball tryouts.
Documents Specific to Grant Boys Basketball
Individual cluster programs may each have their own additional paperwork that will need to be completed.
