Separate from PPS and separate from the PIL middle school basketball league is an independent organization, known as: "Ball Out". Serving Grant High School boys basketball as a year-round feeder program, they offer skill development, playing options, teams, and events for student-athletes in kindergarten through senior year of high school.
Though they are a separate organization from PPS, Ball Out's administrators, coaches, and non-profit board members work closely with Grant's Varsity coaches, Grant's athletic staff, and others in support of the expansion of boys basketball opportunities in the Grant cluster community.

From after school enrichment, to family nights at Varsity home games, to off-season teams, the feeder program connects youth and high school players and families with basketball at Grant. High school players often serve as assistants at many youth activities offered through the organization, building a bridge between young and old, and creating lasting memories for all.
The high school coaching staff is also very involved with creating curriculum for youth players as well as of the in-house development of youth coaches in this program. You will even find some high school coaches assisting in coaching youth teams during their off-seasons. Throughout PPS and the PIL, there are very few high school sports teams that truly invest in the youth to help the strength of their programs. Ball Out brings that to the Grant neighborhood. |
